Functions:
The Center for Enterprise Cooperation and Startup is a functional unit that advises the Principal on strategic decision-making. The Center is primarily responsible for organizing and implementing activities that promote cooperation and linkage between the University and organizations/businesses, as well as implementing programs that support entrepreneurship and innovation.
Responsilities:
- Enterprise Cooperation:
- Organize and implement career counseling, job placement, career orientation, and relevant thematic programs for students; support the provision of human resources to units and organizations as required.
- Coordinate with functional departments and faculties/units to establish, maintain, and expand partnerships with organizations, businesses, and alumni; organize activities related to human resource training, recruitment, business networking, entrepreneurship, and scientific research in accordance with the needs of enterprises, organizations, and individuals; and facilitate technology transfer between businesses/units and faculties/departments/institutes/centers within the University.
- Collaborate with and engage businesses in teaching activities; collect feedback; and participate in developing learning outcomes, syllabi, curricula, teaching materials, and practical skills assessment banks to ensure that training programs align with labor market demands.
- Collaborate with and engage businesses in thematic talks, experience-sharing sessions, and career guidance activities for students; introduce enterprises to faculties/units to implement internship, apprenticeship, and on-the-job training programs, and provide appropriate employment opportunities.
- Organize fundraising activities; receive scholarship funding from organizations, businesses, and individuals; and coordinate with relevant units to establish, manage, and operate the University’s Student Support Fund (if any).
- Coordinate or, when authorized, directly organize short-term training courses and soft-skills programs based on cooperation with businesses to equip students with essential knowledge and skills before graduation; introduce suitable programs and speakers to other units as needed.
- Start-up:
- Serve as the focal point for implementing entrepreneurship and innovation activities within the University.
- Organize entrepreneurship and innovation idea competitions, entrepreneurship days, and related events.
- Organize training and capacity-building programs in entrepreneurship and innovation skills.
- Organize training courses, workshops, and seminars to enhance creative thinking, entrepreneurial competencies, and practical startup skills for students.
- Provide consultation on legal matters and support the refinement of startup projects and business models.
- Support startup incubation activities, including providing working space, mentors, and access to experts.
- Facilitate networking with organizations, businesses, investment funds, local authorities, centers, and incubators within Ho Chi Minh City, nationwide, and internationally.
- Connect with and mobilize organizations, businesses, investors, and startup funds to support entrepreneurial activities.
- Establish and manage a Startup Support Fund.
- Support the commercialization of research outcomes and innovative products developed by students.
- Build and develop a university-based startup ecosystem and foster an entrepreneurial culture within the academic community.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
