VINASA (Vietnam Software and IT Services Association) Organizes the VietFuture Awards 2026

VINASA has officially launched the VietFuture Awards 2026 and is accepting applications until August 10, 2026, following last year's success.

The award is for innovative student startup projects, business-commissioned projects, and university R&D projects. These must aim for commercialization. The award offers students a chance to learn, network, and recruit directly from business leaders.

The competition will be held in two rounds: Preliminary Round at Universities/Colleges from January 15, 2026, to August 10, 2026.

• Preliminary Application Review: August 11, 2026 - August 20, 2026
• Preliminary Round Results Announcement: August 24, 2026
• The National Final Round will take place September 17-18, 2026, including presentations, exhibitions, live demos, networking, and direct recruitment in Ho Chi Minh City.

COMPETITION RULES

Eligibility

• Students from universities and colleges nationwide
• No limit on the number of entries per author.

Application Submission Period: January 15, 2026, to August 10, 2026

Registration Method:

School-level Preliminary Round:

• Groups of 2-5 students register with the School. Each project can sign up for up to 3 fields. There is no entry limit per author.
• Students create personal profiles by registering on the InnoConnect platform: https://innoconnect.vn/. The school's preliminary selection of projects follows.

Note:

• For innovative and R&D startup projects: The school may select up to 3 nominees per field to participate in the National Final Round.
• For business-commissioned projects, there are no limits on group size. Find commissioned project info HERE.

Schools send the profiles of participating students on InnoConnect (https://innoconnect.vn/) to the Organizing Committee. Complete the Application Form (download HERE).

• Pre-selected projects by the school submit their applications to the National Final Round via https://vietfuture.vinasa.org.vn/. Submit applications by August 10, 2026.
• From August 11 to August 20, 2026, the Organizing Committee will screen all submitted applications during the preliminary round.
• August 24, 2026: Results of preliminary screening will be announced via email. National Final Round will be held September 17-18, 2026, in Ho Chi Minh City.
• Each finalist gets up to 5 minutes to present to judges: 3 minutes for technical setup and introduction, 5 minutes to present and demo, 10 minutes for Q&A, 2 minutes to wrap up.

The National Finals include an exhibition and demo of projects. Attendees can exchange ideas and network with the teams.

Accommodation and travel costs are covered by universities and teams. Demo areas and networking opportunities are provided free of charge by the Organizing Committee when available.

AWARD STRUCTURE

• Each field has 3 awards: First, Second, and Third place, and 2 potential awards. More awards may be sponsored.
• Businesses/sponsors will select and award prizes to projects based on their specific requirements.
• The top-ranked university/college will receive the First, Second, and Third place overall awards.

STUDENT BENEFITS
